One of the Ukrainian army brigades is strengthening in the neighborhood of Horlivka, Donetsk region, which has been under occupation since 2014 and is contemplating an operation against the city.
Source: Alexei Erestovich, presidential office adviser, at a briefing at the Office of Public Administration, as cited by Ukrainform.
Erestovich’s direct speech: “JFO area. There is some good news. The majority of our soldiers have taken up positions, and one of our brigades has moved to the outskirts of Horlivka. They are now erecting fortifications and maybe formulating an attack strategy there.
For the first time in the war’s first seven days, our soldiers launched an attack in a new direction. This, I believe, is not the last offensive or counter-offensive. Soon, we will be able to free our land rather than merely protect it.”
Details: According to Oleksiy Erestovich, the Russian military is continuing to focus its efforts and units in the northwest of Kyiv in preparation for an operation against the Ukrainian capital.
However, he emphasized that the assailants would be unable to do so due to the meticulous activity of the armed forces.
