He grew up with a sister, Matilda Rowe, in Crouch End; both of them attended St. Michael’s Primary School in Highgate; he was in a performing arts course that used to put up an play every week; it was his play “Bugsy Malone,” which caught everyone’s attention and the agency that was attached to this course, took an interest in Rowe.
