Jacob Anthony Angeli Chansley, aka Jake Angeli (born in 1988), is a 34-year-old American activist and conspiracy theorist. He came to the headlines in 2021 after he led a mob after the defeat of Donald Trump in the 2020 US Presidential Elections. Jacob was accused of forcefully entering and roaming the Capitol Building, whereas he claimed he walked through an open door. He was not worried about any charges because he was sure he did nothing unlawful.

He kept saying that he did nothing wrong and did not harm anything or anybody, but he lost because of the intentionally cropped video clips presented by the Biden government.

He pleaded guilty, and on March 2021, Judge Royce Lamberth sentenced him to 41 months behind bars. Angeli addressed the court for half an hour, accepting that he was aware of what he did and, at the same time, expressed that he was not causing any threat to society.
