She trained to become a performer at a very young and did a little of everything, be it dance, singing, or even musical theatre; what stuck with her was dance and acting.

As a kid, she was interested in ballet and learned the dance form at the age of five. Still, Jennifer wanted to refine her skills by joining Luminesque, a dance school where Tong trained even in Ballroom, Club/Freestyle, Hip Hop, and Jazz.

Dance eventually became a hobby, and acting became her true passion; she realized this at the Acting for Stage and Screen program at her University, that’s why she studied Acting for Screen and Stage at Capilano University.

After graduating in 2017, she began working on stage with various theatre companies, and she joined the University of British Columbia to perfect the art of theatre.
