Jeon Jong-seo | 전종서 (born on July 5, 1994) is a South Korean model and actress. This beautiful actress rose to fame in 2018 after playing Shin Hae-mi in Lee Chang-dong’s thriller movie “Burning.” Besides acting, Jong does modeling and has experience working with brands such as Vogue. Many people know Jeon as Rachel Jun also.

Early Life

On July 5, 1994, Jeon Jong-seo | 전종서 (age 28) was born to her parents in Seoul, South Korea. Rachel was a tiny baby; her father and mother took her to live in Canada. In America’s neighboring country, Seo attended a school till her high school, but for her final high school class, she returned to South Korea and attended Anyang Arts High School.

Jong’s interest has been tilted towards acting since she was a teenager. With an intent to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, in 2013, she joined Sejong University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in filmmaking, but she dropped out of college as she began getting acting gigs quite early.

Career

In 2017, Jeon decided to take some severe steps to kick start her career, so she joined a talent management agency named My Company. That year in August, Jong auditioned for Lee Chang-dong’s project “Burning.” Luckily, Seo got selected and was given to play the lead role in the film.

Here we would like to tell you that until that point, Jong had never attended any acting classes. Her fresh face and acting got loved by the viewers of “Burning,” and Jun’s career took off with the very first movie.

“The Call,” a Chung Hyung Lee-directed horror movie, became Rachel’s second acting job. Here the beautiful actress played Young-Sook, and her performance was worth compliments. With increasing popularity, Jun got a chance to work overseas too.

2021 film “Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon” was her first English project, and it gave her a chance to work alongside actors like Kate Hudson, Ed Skrein, Craig Robinson, Colby Boothman, etc. Major clothing and beauty brands started approaching her. She even walked on the modeling ramp a few times.

In 2020, while the shooting “The Call,” Jeon came close to the director of the movie Lee Chung-Hyun. At first, nobody noticed, but with time their love affair became apparent to everybody. News of their romantic relationship reached the internet in 2021.
