Monika did her higher education at Sichuan Foreign Language Institute in 1982, but for doing a different thing in her life at the age of 25; she migrated to Australia to study international trade at Melbourne’s RMIT University.

During her early days, while living in Melbourne, she spoke almost no English; that’s why she worked as many hours as a waitress, even selling cosmetics, to manage the expenses.

Tu told DailyMail that while she was studying at RMIT, she did not consider any work as small or big, so she used to do any work seven days a week, even washing dishes for 12 hours.

While still in college, she founded LASER Corporation in a Surry Hills garage in 1987, importing and selling 5.25″ floppies and storage cases.

In 1992, Monika completed got her degree from RMIT University, and after that, her life to become a full-time businesswoman began when she relocated to Sydney and began to grow her first company, LASER Corporation.

In 2007, Tu took retirement after making her first company successful within 20 years and began enjoying luxurious life with her daughter Maylin Liu.
