Nael M (age: 17 years; 2006 – June 27, 2023) was a young motorist who died after a point-blank shot by a police officer during a check that went wrong. Initially, police sources claimed that a vehicle drove into two police motorcyclists.

But a video circulating on social networks, authenticated by AFP, showed that one of the two police officers held the driver at gunpoint before shooting at close range when the car restarted.
