Quei Tann With They Them Cast

Quei Tann (born on August 21, 2000) is 22 years old trans actress and activist from America. She rose to fame in 2016 after participating in the 23rd season of “America’s Next Top Model.” People know her better because of her role in Tyler Perry’s “Bruh” in 2021.

Being transgender comes with a lot of struggle, especially when one tries to earn a space in the entertainment industry. But Tann proved that everything is possible if you are motivated and focused on following your dreams.

In 2022, Tann’s popularity peaked after she landed a prominent role in Peacock’s first film “They/Them.” It is a story of a group of LGBTQ+ persons who visit a gay conversion site named Whistler’s Camp. As the story progresses, all the group members face a deadly killer.

As per Quie’s IMDB profile, she is currently working on a film titled “A More Perfect Union.” Here she played the role of a youngster named Caroline Lewis. The date of its release is not out yet, but because it is at the filming stage, we can expect it to air next year.

Faced Physical Torture as a Child

On August 21, 2000, Quei Tann (age 22) was born to her African-American parents in Los Angeles, CA, America. During an interview with Ebony, Quei revealed that as a child, she had to face physical abuse from one of her family members, which is why she moved with her mother, Siohkuei Tann to Las Vegas, Nevada. She did not reveal the identity of that person.

As a kid, she used to watch Disney shows like “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” and “That’s So Raven.” Those shows motivated her to pursue an acting career. She joined a community theatre and practiced there until the age of 15. Upon turning 16, she decided to move back to LA with the intent to work in Hollywood.

Lived in Car During Struggling Days

After moving back to Los Angeles, she had to suffer a lot. She had to spend nights in a shelter home; she slept in the car and spent nights at a marijuana grow house. Once when she was at Marijuana grow house, police raided the site and caught her, but LAPD let her go with a warning.

She also spent time at LA LGBT Center and completed their 12-month program. Her days in Hollywood started with “America’s Next Top Model.” After participating in the reality show, she connected with a talent management company named Tha Park Noack Agency and began auditioning. Luckily, she landed a role in one of the “House of Mayhem episodes.”
