Sammy Sasso (age: 25, born 1998) is a wrestler from Nazareth, Pennsylvania. He became famous for being an amazing wrestler in high school at Nazareth Area High School and later at Ohio State University.
When he was in high school, he was really, really good at wrestling. People in his town were really proud of him. Then he went to college at Ohio State University and continued to be a superstar wrestler.

Sammy Shot Near Campus Friday Night
Sammy Sasso, a wrestler from Ohio State University, was shot in Columbus one Friday evening. Thankfully, his injuries weren’t life-threatening, according to his wrestling coach.
The shooting started as a robbery near the university’s campus and happened around 8:23 p.m. on North High Street.
Sasso was found hurt in an alley near the campus and was taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in serious condition. No one responsible for the incident was caught at that time.
Afterward, Ohio State University Athletics put out a statement about the incident. They were really worried about what happened to Sammy Sasso.
The statement explained that Sammy Sasso, who’s a student-athlete, was hurt because of a shooting that didn’t make sense. The people in charge of the wrestling program and the Athletics team said thanks to the medical staff at Wexner Medical Center for helping Sammy.
They also wanted everyone to know that Sammy’s injuries weren’t life-threatening, which was a relief to everyone who cared about him. And Coach Tom Ryan said he’s keeping a close watch on Sammy while he’s in the hospital.

Sammy Sasso was born in 1998 to parents Lorraine and Robert Sasso. He grew up in Nazareth Township, Pennsylvania, and attended Nazareth Area High School.
Even as a kid, Sammy worked hard to be good at wrestling. He said, “I started when I was 9 on a wrestling team with other great wrestlers. I began late, but I knew if I kept trying, I could do well.” Sammy’s coaches believed in him and helped him improve.
During high school, Sammy was excellent at wrestling. He won a lot, with 180 wins and only 11 losses. He won the PIAA 3A championship twice, including when he was 145 pounds in his senior year.
His biggest win was when he pinned his opponent in 5 minutes and 22 seconds to become the state champion. He was excellent and won many championships.
