Steve Toussaint was born in Birmingham (on March 22, 1965), but by the time he turned 4, he moved to London with his family; not much is known about them, and his personal life is not in the open yet.

Since early childhood, he has been interested in plays and theater, and he was a part of his school’s dramatic productions and has acted in a few of their plays. Time passed, and Steve graduated from Sussex University; and majored in Politics. During this time, he also participated in his university’s plays.

He got himself a job at a Merchant Bank, which he left and moved to the U.S. to try his hand at acting; he attended evening classes for acting and started to work in a theater company which got him his Equity Card, his first professional role was to play Genie in “Aladdin” at the Churchill Theatre in 1990.

He was also a part of The Royal Shakespeare Company, where he was a part of “Macbeth” and “The Merchant of Venice,” directed by Michael Boyd.

Steve entered the entertainment industry in 1994 with a Mini Tv Series, “The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes,” his career rose slowly but at a progressive pace; he has done one or two films and T.V. series almost every year, and he landed his first feature film in 1995, “I.D.” as Shadwell Fan, he was being recognized by critics and fans, he was offered minor roles here and there for Mini T.V. series like, “Crucial Tales,” “Macbeth,” “Dangerfield.”

Toussaint had a breakthrough in 1999 when he was offered two T.V. series, “Casualty” and “Jack of Hearts”; all loved his role as Joe, and one movie, “Doomwatch: Winter Angel.”

Later, he joined the cast of “The Knock” and played a significant part in that as Barry Christie.
