The world is mourning the loss of Abby Choi, a 28-year-old fashion influencer with a massive following of 99.9K followers on Instagram, after being found dead in a village home in Tai Po, Hong Kong. Choi had been reported missing on February 21, 2023, and her body was discovered days later on February 25, 2023.
Authorities revealed that Choi’s dismembered body parts were found alongside a meat slicer, an electric saw, and some clothing in a rented home by her ex-father-in-law.
Abby Choi was allegedly murdered by her former husband, Alex Kwong. However, after an intense investigation, the authorities were able to make a breakthrough in the case. On February 25, shortly after a press conference, Kwong was arrested for the murder. The 28-year-old ex-husband was taken into custody, and the investigation continues as the authorities work towards bringing justice for the late Choi.

According to scmp on February 25, Alex Kwong, the ex-husband of Hong Kong model and fashion icon Abby Choi Tin-Fung, was arrested by police at the Tung Chung Development Pier.
The officers had received information that he was attempting to escape by speedboat and had been waiting for him. They found him carrying HK$50,000 in cash and a luxury watch worth around HK$4 million. However, Alex Kwong suddenly fell ill upon seeing the officers and had to be taken to the hospital.
According to local media reports, Alex Kwong was wanted for his involvement in a fraudulent gold scam worth HK$5 million. He had been on the run from the police for years.
Meanwhile, the murder of Abby Choi is believed to have been deliberate and well-planned, with Alex Kwong’s father suspected to be the mastermind behind the crime. The police are continuing their investigations into the case.
