All About Carolina Panthers New Interim Coach Chris Tabor

Chris Tabor (age 52, born on March 4, 1971), a distinguished American football coach, boasts a remarkable coaching career spanning over two decades across high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Notably, he showcased his expertise as an assistant coach for the Chicago Bears from 2018 to 2021 and the Cleveland Browns from 2011 to 2017.

In a recent turn of events, Tabor assumed a pivotal role as the special teams coordinator and interim head coach for the Carolina Panthers in the National Football League (NFL). This significant move occurred on November 27, 2023, following the Panthers’ challenging 1-10 start, marking the worst record in the current season.

The decision to appoint Tabor came after Panthers owner David Tepper took action, dismissing the previous coach due to the team’s struggling performance. This change followed reports of a post-game incident where Tepper allegedly used profanity while exiting the locker room after a 17-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans

Chris Tabor Family Background

On March 4, 1971, Chris Tabor (age 52) was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, United States. Raised in the heart of a football dynasty, Chris hails from a family where the love for the game runs deep; his father, Don, dedicated four decades to coaching high school football in Missouri.

In 1997, Tabor entered the ranks of the University of Missouri as a graduate assistant, eventually climbing the coaching ladder to handle running backs and special teams by 2000. His tenure at Columbia saw the Tigers ranking in the nation’s top 10 in rushing offense and making appearances in two bowl games.
