Childhood and Family
On February 24, 1983, Naruna Costa (age 39 years) landed on earth when she took birth in Taboão da Serra, State of São Paulo, Brazil, to her mother and father. She has 2 siblings, including her sisters Najara Costa and Naloana Lima.
Living in the Freitas Júnior neighborhood, Naruna got her first role as an actor in 1997 when she joined União Teatral Taboão. This place gave her a chance to feel what it feels like to be an actor. After doing a few plays, her will to become an actress solidified, and she started focusing on improving her acting skills.
Naruna’s dad was a strong personality and was continuously involved in the movement against racism. Sadly Mr. Costa died in 2021 and left his family grief-stricken. The actress also shared a photograph of her dad on Instagram and expressed her pain.
Costa was a member of União Teatral Taboão for eight years, and in 2005 she, along with a few of her fellow artists, opened Espaço Clariô Taboão da Serra. In this place, actors could do rehearsals and perform. With continuous efforts, hard work, and after multiple auditions, Naruna finally landed herself a role in the 2007 movie “O Magnata.” It was a Johnny Araújo directed action drama involving acting actors like Paulo Vilhena, Rosanne Mulholland, and Maria Luísa Mendonça.
The same year she also worked on a show named “Dance, Dance, Dance” as Suzy Farias. It was about Sofia (played by Juliana Baroni), who strives to become an actor cum dancer. At first, she got to play minor roles, but casting directors started offering her significant roles with time.
From 2007 to 2019, Costa appeared in 16 movies involving “Mundo Deserto de Almas Negras,” “Neurotic Quest for Serenity,” “Mare Nostrum,” “Desert World of Black Souls,” “A Boneca e o Silêncio,” “Toro” and a few others. She also got work in multiple television shows such as “All the Women in the World,” “A Vida Secreta dos Casais,” “Fanáticas,” “Tempos Modernos,” “Brotherhood,” “Brotherhood,” etc.
Not only acting, but Naruna also tried her luck in the music industry. The first album that she released was named “Weightlifting,” and later, she released “Break Break Break.”
During theatre days, Costa met a guy named Mário Pazini Jr., a director by profession. He worked with Naruna for years, and they both developed a special bond. Finally, both decided to spend the rest of their lives with each other and got married. They both were very happy together, and their lives were going great. Sadly in 2014, due to unforeseen reasons, Naruna Costa’s husband left this world. The loss of her life partner left Costa in emotional turmoil.
