Elektra Kilbey (born on 7 June 1991) is a talented Swedish-Australian actress who has her music band as well, making her an outstanding songwriter; she has already won hearts with her vocals and heartfelt songs, and she is now moving toward the film industry.

Early Life

Born on 7 June 1991, Elektra Kilbey spent her life traveling from Sydney, Australia, and Stockholm, Sweden; she was also fortunate enough to be born to well-known parents, who were artists, and turned out to be her role models as well.

Her father, Steven John Kilbey, is a singer-songwriter and bass guitarist for the rock band, The Church; her mother, Karin Jansson, was a guitarist; the couple never really got married; they were dating when they had twin daughters, Miranda Jansson-Kilbey, she is elder to Elektra by four minutes.

When the couple broke up, Karin moved to Sweden with her children, where they lived till the age of nineteen; both have music in their blood as it runs in the family, even their uncles on both sides, musicians and actors, growing up in a creative household does have its advantages and challenges; however her family does not end here as she has half-sisters too, Eve and Aurora, a set of twins and Scarlet, they were born to Steven and Natalie.

Elektra Kilbey first began her career as a singer along with her twin sister, Miranda; they were just teenagers when they uploaded their first song on SoundCloud in May 2012, and within a week, they had a record deal, the single, “Maybe You,” received immense love and fame, this launched them into the industry rather quickly.

A year later, the duo formed their own record label, à Deux, and started their band, “Say Lou Lou,” formerly known as Saint Lou Lou; they specialize in the genre Dream pop, a subgenre of alternative rock and neo-psychedelia, their band made the BBC Sound of 2014 longlist.

Within the course of three years, the band released five singles, made their debut with a studio album called “Lucid Dreaming,” and by 2018, the duet released their second record, “Immortelle.”

For Elektra, it was a fantastic experience; her music career got such a quick boost; she also had the chance to feature in several of their music videos, which helped her express what she felt and let out her creative side; it was like making short films, this helped her improve her acting skills as well.

The duo also had fantastic tours in the US and were loved by a large audience; they did leave an impression in their minds.
